Elrond was one of the wisest and most powerful Elves in Middle-earth during the Second and Third Ages. He fought to oppose Sauron, and it was at a Council held by Elrond that the decision was made to destroy the One Ring and bring about the Dark Lord's downfall. A new line from Gentle Giant Lord of the Rings 6'' Busts. It started with Ringwraith, Aragorn, Gandalf, Balrog and now Elrond. I must say that Ringwraith, Gandalf and Balrog look amazing. Aragorn as Strider is also good. But i can hardly say the same thing for Elrond. When i first saw the photos at Comic Con. I said it didn't look very good. Then i thought they Gentle Giant would do something about it. But things didn't go that way. Here we are, with Elrond Bust not so succesful with the likeness on the face. Elrond looks very young and different. I will put some stills from the movie to make a better comparisson.
Also let's take a look at Weta's Elrond bust(which I think better than Gentle's) and get a better clue.

Apart from the face, Gentle Giant makes really nice bases for these busts. In this one they used the scenery of Rivendell. Another important thing about this line is that in some of the busts you have a chance to find the 'one ring'. Only 100 are hidden in every character. I bought all the busts so far but wasn't lucky enough to find the one ring made by Noble Collections.
The next two bust that just released are Frodo and Sam in orc armour. It's out in America and will be here in one weeks time. I have purchased this item from Star Wars Attic on ebay with Balrog Bust shipped together. The two busts arrived in 5 days with USPS Express Mail and cost $59 of shipping rate. I didn't pay any taxes or fines of these two busts except i had to go to National Post Office to take them because the box was very huge.
So far I'm going one Lotr one Sw piece in a row. Let's not kill the tradition and promise that my next article will be very special Star Wars product. A little hint: it's lifesize :)
